Vermont Community Farm
Our Mission
Vermont Community Farm is a start-up nonprofit wellness farm that focuses programming on therapeutic animals, nature, community, and mindfulness to increase wellbeing. As we work toward a permanent farm, we bring our mission to life through community-based programs and partnerships, such as community storytelling, mindful practice, yoga, mindfulness with horses, and more. Check out Programs and Our Story to learn more.We believe healing happens through connection: connection to ourselves, to each other, to animals, and to the earth. Through community-centered programs, we support self-compassion, resilience, belonging, and stewardship.
In balance we heal. In community we thrive. In stewardship we sustain.
Programs
Our growing programs include Mindfulness with Horses, Yoga on Horseback, mindfulness-based workshops, and storytelling events at public libraries throughout Vermont. As we expand, we are developing additional equine-assisted and nature-based wellness opportunities to serve individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Our Story
Vermont Community Farm began with a childhood dream when founder and executive director Samara Anderson discovered the profound connection between people, animals, and the natural world. That childhood dream eventually evolved into a larger purpose: creating a welcoming community where people of all backgrounds and abilities can experience the restorative power of mindful presence, nature, and therapeutic animals.
